Portrait in Snow

Unknown family. In the early 1920s, no method existed for taking an amateur photograph without natural light. That didn't stop Steve Huziak in the chill of Saskatchewan winter: "Let's get the chairs out in the yard and have some fun!" This is an example of how forward thinking Steve Huziak really was. It is hard for us to think back to a time where people couldn't take pictures when and how they wanted. We live in a time where we can pretty much do whatever we want, take pictures with Mobile Phones, play games on a computer with people all over the world and use a flash if there is no natural day light. But for Huziak it was different, so he made it work for himself which is what made him such a great photographer.
